Belle inhaled, choking on the scent. She stared at the smiling woman moving in next door. She watched as some of her ‘wolves bounded over to help the new neighbour lift the heavier boxes out of the back of her beat up flat back truck.
Leah flicked the switch to send the ‘request to land’ message to the base, not bothering to check whether she got the okay. She tried not to rush through the steps to acclimatize the ship to entering the atmosphere. Changing a setting too soon could result in irreparable damage to the ship or to her.
Izzy had been captured by Pirates almost a week ago now. She had been trussed up and tied in some room or other, blindfolded.
